Attention JA Volunteers!

Have you wanted to volunteer for JA this year, but haven't had

time to make multiple visits to the classroom? If so, this may

be the volunteer opportunity for you!

JA of Georgia's Atlanta office is excited to announce its new

one-day volunteer event:

JA Day - Thursday, May 15, 2008

JA Day is a great way for volunteers to have a profound impact on

Georgia's future leaders. The all-in-one day will allow JA

and its volunteers to maximize the number of students who receive

JA's programs. Volunteers can work individually or in

pairs and are provided with the curriculum and materials to lead six

activities from JA Economics for Success over the course of several

hours.

JA Day targets 8th grade students who are preparing for success in

their high school career. Activities focus on wise decision making

skills, goal setting, the economic benefit of education, and financial

literacy. Students will also learn about Junior

Achievement's after school program for high school students, JA

Fellows.
