Nesbit Elementary School Mentoring Program
Nesbit Elementary School is a Title 1 school in which many of our students' families are at or below the poverty level. With that comes many challenges that must be addressed in order to ensure student success. We make no excuses for our students and believe that they can all succeed given the support and education that they require. In an effort to meet the needs presented, we have decided to create a mentoring program which will expand in scale in the upcoming years. This year our focus will be just 20 male students in the 4th and 5th grade. Next year and each successive year following we will add on an additional grade level and eventually include our girls as well. We are, however, in great need of mentors who can serve as role models for our students. Below you will find some information on our program. |
