Newborns in Need (NIN) serves infants through the making and donation of baby gowns, blankets, and other essential baby items to hospitals, homeless shelters and other organizations that provide for premature and newborn infants.   Volunteers are needed to sew, knit, crochet and collect clothing, bedding and hygiene items for newborns from premature to 3 months.   Volunteers meet once a month to make items, pack bags and deliver items to hospitals.  Newborn in Need's Southside Georgia Chapter meets on the first Saturday of each month at Southern Regional Hospital's Women's Life Center from 9:30am to 3:00pm.  Contact Ruth Thor for additional information.
