The Volunteer Center
The Heart of West Michigan United Way Volunteer Center is committed to linking volunteer groups with opportunities to serve the community, empowering agencies to use volunteers effectively, advocating for volunteerism and increasing the number of volunteers involved in the community.
Volunteer Center Programs
Corporate Volunteerism helps companies enhance their current volunteerism program, start a new one or to become involved in the community through projects such as the Day of Caring.
Our Youth Program is focused on empowering and advocating for youth through an emphasis on service learning, leadership and volunteerism.
Schools of Hope volunteers help early elementary children build their reading skills, helping children gain the confidence they need to be successful. This is a great opportunity to make a difference in the life of a child.
Project Blueprint is a leadership development and training program for professionals of color, that helps increase their participation on local boards of directors and other community initiatives.
