~To educate the public on who we are, and what our role is in the community.

~To keep our dogs healthy by providing excellent medical care, exercise and enrichment.

Volunteers also help by spreading the word through material distribution, Meet and Greets, fundraisers and special events.

History:
The Azzar family founded Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary in August of 1999 after the passing of their beloved dog Mac. We go to area shelters and rescue adoptable dogs that are scheduled for euthanasia. We do our best with SAFER testing and Meet Your Match testing as well as our multi-step adoption process to place our dogs in forever homes.
