Description:
Oakdale Neighbors implements activities in two program areas: Family Asset Development which includes Vocation and Financial Assets and Community Building which includes Block Organizing and Action, Community Economic Development, and Environmental Care and Sustainability.

History:
Oakdale Neighbors is a Christian community development organization promoting the vitality of the Oakdale neighborhood in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The organization is a nonprofit corporation with federal 501(c)3 tax-exempt status. It is governed by an eight-member board of directors and has been active in the neighborhood for more than 10 years. The organization values relationships with several churches, foundations, and other organizations.
