World Mission Thrift
World Mission Thrift exists to support World Mission in it's ministry while providing support to the local community through quality clothing and household items at affordable prices. World Mission’s mission is to provide education about the Word of God along with missionary support and training to “unreached” people groups worldwide.
Description:
World Mission Thrift stores provide people with additional ways of partnering with World Mission. Through these stores we sell lightly used quality clothing and commonly used household hard goods at great values. Our assortment of merchandise is outstanding and our staff members are friendly. Here are some ways that you can be a blessing to World Mission through our stores: • Shop at one of our 7 stores located in Muskegon, Benton Harbor, Lansing and 4 locations in Grand Rapids. • Donate your clothing and household items to the stores. • Volunteer as an individual or a church group at one of our stores. • Tell your family and friends about our stores.
History:
World Mission was founded in 1994 by Paul Land, a Christian businessman in Grand Rapids, Michigan. His desire was to fulfill the “Great Commission” by spreading God’s Word to the millions of unreached people groups in the world and to contribute to the worldwide relief of the poor, distressed, and underprivileged by supporting missionaries and providing audio tools such as The Treasure so that “all may hear”. Other facts: • We own and operate 7 thrift stores that support our ministry. • We have 7 board members who are men of God with unique talents and backgrounds.
