P.O.R.T. (Pediatric Oncology Resource Team)
We provide and promote compassionate, personalized support to families with children diagnosed with cancer or a life threatening blood disorders.
Description:
P.O.R.T. assists children and their families struggling with cancer and blood disorders through the talents of specially trained volunteers. P.O.R.T. provides meal passes, gas cards, phone cards, volunteer services and special events.
History:
P.O.R.T. was founded in 1994 by parents of children who had cancer. P.O.R.T. has since become a program of Helen DeVos Children's Hospital.
