Description:
For twenty one years The Sight Seer volunteers have provided information, news, education and inspiration to people who cannot access print media. We are all volunteers, there is no paid staff. We broadcast over FM radio on a dedicated radio channel and on the Internet twenty-four hours a day. We read newspapers, magazines, books, and produce programs that appeal to physically handicapped people of all ages and interest.

History:
Begun twenty years ago at the urging of the Association for the Blind, Kenneth Van Prooyen, Director has worked with people from all walks of life who have the desire to bring information to people who are not able to read because of physical disablities. A visit to our Web Site will tell you much and show pictures of our office and studios. We are available in all Grand Rapids hospitals, including Grand Rapids Home for Veterans and Welcome Home for the Blind. Many homes for the elderly, health care facilities also have The Sight Seer available for their patients.
