Wedgwood strives to incorporate professional excellence with Christian values. Residential and community services are provided to individuals and families so that they can reach their full potential.
Description:
Wedgwood Christian Services offers a broad range of services to include: Residential treatment to boys and girls,ages 8-17, dealing with neglect/abuse, delinquency, adoption and mental health issues. In addition to open and secure Residential Treatment, the following services are offered: Foster care, Respite care, In-Home intervention, Substance Abuse services, Supervised Community living, Inner-city neighborhood after-school programs, Out-patient counseling, Chaplaincy, Internships, Prevention and Education Services.
History:
Wedgwood Christian Services is a private, Christian, non-profit human service agency, providing comprehensive treatment for young people and families since 1960. Services are being consolidated to one campus in Kentwood, a suburb of Grand Rapids, Michgan.
In addition, a Ferris State University charter school,(Lighthouse Academy), which provides options to expelled and educationally at-risk students, has been built on Wedgwood's Kentwood location. Volunteer tutoring will be offered by Wedgwood.
Wedgwood has almost 400 employees ( part-time and full time).

Going east on 44th St. toward the airport, turn left on Schaffer Rd. Go one mile to 36th St. Wedwood is on the right corner of Schaffer and 36th St.
