Do you enjoy working with fresh flowers and have a big heart for hospice patients? If so, this may be the volunteer opportunity for you! Hospice of Michigan patients experiencing the end of life journey are delighted by the fresh arrangements brought to them through our weekly Flower Program. Each Monday morning donated flowers from Forest Hills Foods come in to our office and are made into dozens of beautiful bouquets. The program is growing very fast and there is a need for more support to pick up the flowers and/or make the bouquets on Monday mornings, and deliver the flowers Monday-Wednesday. A second program has developed with volunteers pressing the flowers and making hand-made note cards and bookmarks as a fundraiser on flexible days. For more information contact Karen McCambridge at 616-356-5235 or toll free @ 1-800-642-4021 or e-mail kmccambr@hom.org
A brief volunteer orientation will be provided one-on-one or in a group training atmosphere on-going throughout the year. This opportunity is sponsored by: Hospice Of Michigan
