Volunteer Opportunity Details:

This is our third annual "Bring a Touch of Warmth" Event. We are so excited to host this amazing event where we give volunteers (YOU!) the chance to spread the warmth this Holiday Season by helping hand out hats, gloves, coats, socks and other clothing as well as hot cocoa and cinnamon rolls to homeless shelters and soup kitchens. You will get direct contact with people who are looking for a bit of warmth this winter season. It is a chance to truly touch the hearts of those in need! You get to be on the front line showing care and compassion for our community.

We will be meeting on December 19th at 9:30 am at the Wyoming Meijers in the north east parking lot (5500 Clyde park) to gather together and then head downtown for a great time of sharing the warmth with the community.

This event is taking place in Downtown Grand Rapids where volunteers will be handing out hats, gloves and other items to "bring a touch of warmth" downtown.

TIME: 9:30 AM til 1:00pm
WE WILL BE LEAVING SHARPLY AT 9:45AM, SO PLEASE BE THERE EARLY.

***If you are unable to attend the event but would like to still help support our efforts, we will be collecting hats, coats, gloves, socks and other warm items through December 14th. We have many locations to choose from for drop off:

Brown Elementary School - Byron Center

Part of this event will be outside, so please dress warm! We ask that anyone volunteering to have the willingness to serve those in need!

Due to the overwhelming interest in this volunteer opportunity, we have decided to up the number of volunteers from 35 to 45 for this event. Hurry though, spots are filling fast!

From 131 North or South take the M-6 exit towards Holland. Get off at the Byron Center Ave. Exit. Turn left and head south until you hit 64th St. Turn right. Look for second drive on left.
