Oakdale Neighbors is one of many Kent County Tax Credit Coalition programs. Volunteers prepare tax returns for lower income families and individuals, helping them secure important tax credits and refunds. Training, support, software, and other materials are provided. Volunteers will prepare taxes for two to four hours per week from February 1 to April 15, 2010. Volunteers participate in a free 15-hour class and certified by the IRS as a volunteer tax preparer. Volunteers do not need a tax preparation background, but should feel comfortable with personal income taxes and working on a computer.  This opportunity is sponsored by: Oakdale Neighbors
