Volunteer Opportunity Details:
| Last updated on March 24, 2009 |
Reading the newspapers is very important to many people. Newly blind or visually impaired people miss this the most because of the information they no longer can read. There are stories of interest especially to them, available to be read by news readers, but we need to time the news and cut it from the newspapers to be more convenient to read. Some "newsprep" volunteers become news readers as well. This is an important position, and fun as well as interesting. If you like to read, you will like this volunteer job - we read from a variety of newspapers and magazines. We will show you how to time the articles. You will edit some of the stories to shorten them. This opportunity is sponsored by: THE SIGHT SEER, Incorporated - MI - Grand Rapids
