Shepherds of Independence houses and cares for 47 mentally and/or physically disable adults, all of whom were homeless or at-risk for becoming so prior to living at our facility. Most of these residents are without friends or family members to support them and could use a volunteer's company! A Resident Visitor can sit and chat with someone, go for a walk, play a game, or plan an activity with a group such as baking or arts and crafts! The possibilities are up to you! There is no training requirement for this position; however, we are looking for friendly, creative individuals to help out.
