Volunteers may assist with special events such as fundraisers, open houses, educational seminars, community events/festivals or with projects such as gardening, decorating, purchasing children's supplies, etc. Hours based on need and availability. Some opportunities available Monday-Friday 8:30am to 5pm; others vary. Current opportunities include:
Millennium Triathlon on Saturday August 8th; help work the triathlon on Saturday August 8th, by choosing from a variety of opportunities, which include things like body marking, refreshment station, and registration. This event is from 7:30 am to 1:30 pm.
Filing project; sort files into alphabetical order, which includes taking files out of boxes and putting them into file drawers.
Donor Phone Calls; help call our donors and thank them for contributing to the center. This volunteer position can be done from home.
Must be an adult, or at least a senior in high school with a B average or above. Commitment of at least 6 months, work the scheduled volunteer shift, as arranged, respect and maintain the confidentiality and privacy of clients and donors, follow Center's policies and procedures, commitment to the CAC's mission to assess, support, and assist child victims of suspected sexual abuse, relate to children and adults of all ages, races and socioeconomic backgrounds and attend occasional volunteer staff meetings and ongoing training as required.
