Under the supervision of the YWCA Youth Coordinator the volunteer will assist with the implementation of activities for girls in Girls' Space, the Teen Center, and various programs where needed. Volunteers will assist with preparation before each program and clean up after, help with tutoring, assist with program activities, and facilitate activities such as game, crafts, etc. The program runs on Mondays and Tuesdays after school from 3:30-6:30. Specific days and times will be determined by the volunteer and the Youth Coordinator. Volunteers must be 18 years old or older, have a background or education in social work, psychology, teaching, or youth development. They must also be a positive role model and have a strong interest in helping girls reach their full potential. Volunteers must attend an orientation and submit a background check before they begin to volunteer.  This opportunity is sponsored by: YWCA West Central Michigan
