Welcome to Board Connections!
The Kent County Board Connections program is designed to provide a link between nonprofit organizations and potential board volunteers, as well as provide resources to assist in strengthening and developing existing boards.
Through Board Connections, organizations can increase participation, access, and diversity on their board of directors.
For potential volunteers, Board Connections offers a easy-to-use, searchable database of local board and committee opportunities.
How do I use Board Connections?
Board Connections is a free resource that requires registration. Organizations will complete a short list of questions that will provide potential board candidates with an understanding of the size, scope, mission (and volunteer opportunities) of the organization.
Potential board candidates will complete a skills and interest survey and upload a resume or profile detailing experience. Referrals for board positions are initiated by the volunteers, via a system-generated email that also includes the resume or profile of the applicant.
