Have an interest in art? The Grand Rapids Art Museum docent program is a rewarding volunteer opportunity dedicated to ongoing learning and teaching others about art. A docent is a well-trained volunteer who guides visitors through museum exhibitions. Being a docent is a great way to learn about art and art history, meet interesting people, help the museum and the community and have fun. Docents are trained during weekly sessions to give tours and presentations to children and adults. GRAM will be hosting two docent information sessions on Tuesday, August 17 at 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm and Friday, August 20 at 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm. To get involved with the docent program at the Art Museum, call 616-831-2916 or email education@gr-artmuseum.org. |
