Lakeside Hospital
Our vision is to achieve World-Class leadership in compassionate, faith-based health services that measurably enriches the lives of families we serve through an exceptional commitment to quality. To become the hospital of choice for residents of west Omaha and western Douglas County…and beyond.
Description:
Lakeside Hospital opened its doors to patients on August 2, 2004. Since then Lakeside has grown at a very rapid pace. The hospital currently has 83 inpatient beds, a busy Emergency Department, diagnostics services and outpatient surgery. Due to the rapid pace of growth Lakeside undertook an expansion project in August 2008 that will result in adding 70 inpatient beds and doubling the capacity of our outpatient services when it is completed in September 2009. Lakeside Hospital currently has more than 270 active volunteers including a Teen Volunteer program with more than 80 volunteers. Our volunteers work in all areas of the hospital. Some of the volunteer positions include Gift Shop, Welcome Center, patient visitation and volunteer musicians. We are always looking for highly energetic and engaged people who want to share their time and talents to help make the hospital experience better for our patients and visitors.
