Women's Resource And Action Center

The Women's Resource and Action Center is a diverse community dedicated to fostering women's individual empowerment and systemic solutions to all forms of oppression. The Center leads and collaborates on projects that serve UI students, staff, faculty, and the greater community.

Description:
The Center provides information and referral services, counseling, support groups, workshops, lectures, festivals, a lending library, activist training programs, a women's public leadership program, diversity dialogue circles, computer loan program for UI student parents, scholarships and awards.

History:
At the Women's Resource and Action Center, one of our hallmarks is our combination of useful direct service programs and powerful activism to create social change. Few organizations combine a mission to respond to direct need with a vision to change the world. We do, and have for over 35 years.
