We are grateful to all of our donors who give items to Four Oaks in hopes that we can find a child or family that can use them.
Below you will find examples of items that we are glad to accept, as well as those that we cannot.
Four Oaks will accept the following items:
- Clothing (all sizes for men, women, children and infants) in good condition
- Furniture in good condition (sofas, loveseats, chairs, dressers)
- Appliances in good, working condition
- Beds (frames, mattress and box spring) in good condition
- Bedding in good condition
- Baby items that meet current safety standards (strollers, highchairs, cribs, etc.)
- Kitchen items (table and chairs, dishes, pot and pans, glasses, silverware, etc.)
- Tickets to Special Events: Roughrider hockey games, Kernels baseball games, U.S. Cellular Center events/shows, etc.
- Computers (with a minimum Pentium 3 processor)
- Bicycles
Four Oaks cannot accept the following items:
- Any item needing repair (non-working appliances, computers, broken furniture, etc.)
- Furniture in poor condition or with heavy stains (sofas, chairs, loveseats, beds, mattresses and box springs)
- Hide-a-beds (regardless of condition)
- Waterbeds (regardless of condition)
- Clothing, bedding and linens that are torn and/or damaged or in need of mending
- Car seats
- Toys and/or games in poor condition or with pieces missing
- Computers (with less than a Pentium 3 processor)
If you have gently used items that you would like to donate, we ask that you please call ahead to make arrangements to drop off or have your donations picked up. This will ensure that we can put your donation to good use. You can reach Four Oaks at (319) 364-0259.
