Iowa Women Initiating Social Change (IWIS) offers resources and skills you need to tackle important issues and develop strategies for political action and social change. Direct action organizing, public policy work, and coordinating education campaigns are just some of the areas in which IWIS provides training. IWIS volunteers utilize their training to facilitate public forums, organize rallies, influence policy, and much more! Training takes place at the beginning of each academic semester (September/January). Participants must attend 15 hours of training plus weekly meetings during the semester. See website for training dates. This opportunity is sponsored by: Women's Resource And Action Center
