Willmar Community Senior Network, A Living At Home/Block Nurse Program needs volunteers to give rides to the elderly (65+) of Willmar, and a five mile radius. The rides are often short convenience trips on weekdays to medical appointments, a pharmacy, a grocery store, community weekend meals, or to social occasions, etc. The request may be for the "ride only" or one may need to also "accompany" the person throughout the appointment also. Drivers must have a valid drivers license,a safe driving record, a car & automobile insurance. Drivers may need to lift a walker or wheelchair into and out of the vehicle. Please make an appointment at our office to pick-up a Volunteer Application Form and to meet the staff (phone: 320-214-7140.)
