Description:
We are a drop-out prevention and college preparatory program. We provide tutoring, mentoring, college preparation, career exploration and other opportunities for the students in our program. We strive to assist these youth in achieving their academic and personal goals, as well as preparing them for life after high school.
When we receive the required funding, we identify and adopt groups of approximately 50 low-income elementary school children deemed to be at high risk for dropping out of high school with the assistance of local school districts and housing-authority personnel. We select these student either from a local school or subsidized housing-complex. Once we select the students we follow them all the way through school, sticking with them consistently.
