Disseminate educational information to persons with visual impairment, their family members and caregivers, concerning eye diseases, available treatments, current research, and low vision aids;
Promote open discussion of mutual visual impairments, thereby supporting one another;
Suggest ways to live full, independent lives even with low vision or blindness;
Invite medical professionals and others to speak on all aspects of low vision and blindness; and
Educate the general public about visual disabilities
