Agency Details:
KSER's mission is to advance the common good in our community
through Public Radio and other services
dedicated to arts, ideas and civic engagement.
Description:
KSER is the only full-power independent public radio station licensed in Snohomish County and one of only three such stations in the entire state. We are truly unique and truly local.
The license and assets are held by the independent KSER Foundation. As a federally designated educational radio station, KSER goal is to inform and educate the public in our community of license - Everett and surrounding communities in Snohomish county. As a non-commercial radio station, KSER relies on support from individual donations, business underwriting, and foundation grants to finance its service. Beginning in 2008, KSER receives NO federal funding.
KSER addresses the vital need for a public information service focused on Snohomish County. Although Snohomish County is served by many Seattle-based radio stations, KSER is the ONLY station, public or commercial, that has regular programming on issues unique to our area. KSER provides a means to inform residents about local issues, discuss community concerns, speak to elected officials, & engage in civil, informed dialog.
KSER's programming is unique. Our focus is on serving residents of Snohomish County and other North Puget Sound counties, with news, public affairs programming, and music.
