Agency Details:
Leah's Pantry, Inc. empowers homeless and low-income families to make positive changes in their diet, health and nutrition through hands-on workshops in their communities. Our workshops are fun, interactive, and dynamic. We share information, prepare easy, nutritious meals, and work with groups young and old.
Description:
We have several specific workshops that target different populations: young families living in transitional housing, teens living in affordable housing communities, and seniors living in affordable housing communities. All workshops cover basic nutrition, shopping, planning and budgeting and simple healthy recipes. Each workshop varies slightly to the specific dietary and health needs of the community.
