Chabot offers K-12th grade school groups interactive classes in Astronomy, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Space Exploration and Environmental Science. Volunteers assist in planning and implementing the daily program under the direction of the Class Instructor. Assistance includes planning and preparing the learning environment, setting up interest centers, and facilitating activities. This is a great opportunity for former or aspiring teachers.
Volunteers must enjoy working with children of all ages. Some science background is helpful but not needed. All volunteers will be provided with customer service and safety training as well as training on our specific exhibits. Please visit our website for more information and to RSVP to our next adult orientation session.
