Volunteer Opportunity Details:

The AARP Tax-Aide Program provides free personal income tax form preparation to middle and low-income wage-earners. There is a need for Tax Counselors who assist individuals with the preparation of their tax returns in accordance with the guidelines established between the IRS and the AARP Foundation.
In addition to the Tax Counselors, greeters are also needed. Greeters welcome the individuals and review their paperwork prior to meeting with the Counselors. A Local Coordinator is also needed for tax sites. The Local Coordinator recruits, appoints, ensures adequate training, supervises and evaluates Counselors (tax preparers).
Training is provided for all positions.
