History:
Community Coordinated Child Care (4-C) began in 1971. Our founders had a vision to build a coordinated child care system that would serve children, parents, & child care professionals. The agency was incorporated as a not-for-profit – 501(c)3 – corporation governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. The single program offered was an Information and Referral (I&R) service designed to assist parents in their search for child care. The agency had only two sources of income – United Way and a local foundation.
