Lancaster Generations Adult Day Service is committed to enriching the quality of life for seniors by fostering their individuality and independence in a safe, supportive environment. Additionally, and above all else, we are dedicated to consistent, compassionate, and high quality services to help keep people in their homes and community.

Description:
Lancaster Generations is designed to meet the daytime needs of older adults in a warm, home-like environment. Operating Monday through Friday 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, we strive to make each day enjoyable for our participants by providing a wide range of interesting and stimulating activities. Each day includes current events, music, exercise and intergenerational events with the children from the adjoining Hildebrandt Learning Center.

With a staff that includes activity leaders, a social worker, a nurse, and nursing assistants, we are able to serve a wide variety of client needs. In addition, we have a cook who prepares hot noon time meals designed to not only be delicious, but also meet one third of the required daily allowances. Should a participant need personal care, arrangements can be made for shower services.

History:
Lancaster Generations opened on October 14, 1991 and was the second company sponsored intergenerational center in the United States. Located on the campus of Lancaster Laboratories, Lancaster Generations was developed as an option to seniors to promote community living rather than institutional placement.

To find our entrance: From the New Holland Pike, turn onto Forrest Hill Road. Take the first left into the lane behind Lancaster Laboratories. Follow the lane through several stop signs and park in the lower lot.   Nearest Bus Stop: Geist Rd.
