Description:
The Mix At Arbor Place is a faith based, non-profit 501-C3 organization. We are dedicated to meeting educational, spiritual, physical and recreational needs of youth living in and around Southeastern Lancaster, PA. The name The Mix was selected by the teen constituents of Arbor Place because it reflects the cross-cultural and diversity if its membership. The Mix is a safe place where teens ages 13-19 can hang out and get involved in a wide range of relevant services and programs without regard to race, creed, nationality, gender or sexual preference. Some of our programs are, tutoring, one on one mentoring, basketball, computer skills and S.N.U.G.(Saturday Night Under God). In addition over summer The ReMix is a summer teen entrepreneur program to assist teens with job ethics and responsibilities. All of our programs have as their aim to mentor, train, build confidence, and provide a wholesome experience for teens.

History:
The vision for Arbor Place began with a local Mennonite pastor in the early 1980's. This vision received strong backing from many denominations, individuals, and other charitable organizations. After several years of prayer and support raising, Arbor Place opened its doors to the community in 1985. In July 1986, the Arbor Place Board of Directors took possession of the Siegel-Ansel Bag and Burlap Company Building, 520 North Street, Lancaster, which houses the current teen center. After extensive renovations to the burlap bag factory, Arbor Place programs and offices moved into the existing center on January 11, 1988.

From S. Duke St. cross over Church St. Turn right onto Chester St., go straight through stop sign intersection and turn right onto Atlantic St. Arbor Place is located directly a the end of Atlantic Street.
