American Diabetes Association - Central PA Region
The mission of the American Diabetes Association is to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes.
Description:
Research, advocacy and information are the three main goals that the American Diabetes Association believes in. We are the leading organization in diabetes and currently support over 400 research programs in 40 states and the District of Columbia. We provide information to the public through health fairs and community driven programs such as Diabetes Sunday. The ADA is the leader in advocacy in fighting for increased research funding and ending discrimination and protecting rights of all people with diabetes in the work place and the classroom. The organization raises funds for research with the America's Walk for Diabetes, our signature event, School Walk for Diabetes and the Tour de Cure, our annual bike challenge.
