Gap Women's Center

The mission of our ministry is to help women choose physical life for their unborn children and eternal life for their own souls, promote abstinence, test, treat and educate people about sexually transmitted diseases, and heal the broken hearts of those suffering the effects of a past abortion.

Description:
We provide free crisis counseling, pregnancy tests and refer the client(s) to our Oxford Clinic for a limited ultrasound. Through our Healthy Choices program we teach pre-natal education, childbirth instruction and early parenting classes. We also offer our Healthy Lifestyles program, which consists of lifestyles skills (i.e.: renting an apartment, buying a car, financial planning and etc.), healthy relationships, parenting for toddlers and up and a Bible study. When our clients participate in these classes they earn coupons that are exchanged for material items for their baby or young children. Each time a client turns in a homework assignment they earn a homework coupon. Once ten coupons are accumulated, they are able to receive a new crib and mattress, car seat, stroller or other large furniture item. CPCS also offers post abortion counseling, abstinence education, STD awareness and give referrals for support and housing. We also minister to men/fathers. All the services we provide are free and confidential.

History:
In 1985 Brephos Pregnancy Center (in Gap, PA) was founded. In 1989 Brephos joined forces with Small Beginnings (Oxford, PA) and Cornerstone Pregnancy Care Service came into being. After the two centers joined together under CPCS they became known as The Gap Women's Center and The Oxford Women's Clinic.
