This would be a multi-faceted volunteer position, giving the volunteer vast insight into the non-profit social work arena. Daily activities are fast-paced and stimulating. Neighborhood Services programs include
Guardianship, Representative Payee, Permanent Supportive Housing, EARN (Employment and Retention Network), Pre-Apprentice Construction Program, Science Club, and Debate League. We work closely with various Social Work agencies. including but not limited to: DPW, Social Security, MH/MR, Probation,Office of Aging, Workforce Investment Board, Water St Rescue Mission,School District of Lancaster,and Tabor.
The Volunteer would be needed to assist with activities relating to the above mentioned programs. Composing letters, helping with information gathering, filing, scanning, researching information, collecting information, and helping with documentation are some of the potential duties.
This would be a very responsible position and one where a volunteer can gain much insight into the wonderful world of helping people move forward.

Volunteer(s) would have an in house training. Requirements would be 18 years or older, good clerical skills, able to keep confidential information, able to pass security clearances, and have good people skills.

 From Route 30; Travel to 222/272 South. This becomes Prince Street. Follow Prince Street for several blocks. Cross over King Street and our building is approximately 2 more blocks down on the right side of the street. The building sits closest to Farnum Street. If you pass the Water Stree Rescue Mission, you've gone to far.
