Volunteer Opportunity Details:

This is a great volunteer program that supports students in reading. The volunteers commit to 30 minutes to an hour, one day a week to work with an assigned student one-on-one. The half hour lesson is planned by the program coordinator. The program is an nationally recognized mentoring program called HOSTS ( Helping One Student to Succeed). It is in school districts all over the country.

The only requirement is to be committed to coming at the scheduled time and to enjoy working with children in grades 1,2,and 4. Training is provided when the volunteers start with the program.
