Play a game once a month for about an hour with 5-12 Personal Care residents. Suggestions include but are not limited to "Uno", "Wheel of Fortune", "Kickball", "Bowling", Shake Loose a Memory". The group meets informally in the Personal Care Sunroom. The activity will be listed on their calendar, you will arrive 1/2 hour early to set up and invite the residents and lead the activity. They like to stay after and talk with you and tell you how they appreciate the game. Your time here may be 2 hours. This is a great way to meet new friends! Volunteers need to be understanding, courteous, and respectful of older adults. You should be able to give directions while being flexible in regards to game rules. Contact us, complete an application, meet the Volunteer Coordinator and upon acceptance, you will be oriented to our home. This opportunity is sponsored by: United Zion Retirement Community (UZRC)
