| Last updated on November 25, 2008 |
The mission of the YWCA of Bethlehem Adult Day Services Center is to enable older adults to live with their families in the community for as long as possible.
Description:
The purpose of the program is to avoid early nursing home placement so that older adults can remain with their families for as long as possible. In addition, it is the goal of the program to help caregivers lessen stress, continue to remain employed and to have a chance to revitalize themselves. The program provides daily activities, such as music, Bingo, baking and exercise, to maintain and increase the social well being of our clients. The program also provides an opportunity to increase socialization. The program is run by a Director who has a degree in Recreational Therapy, an Assistant Director/Recreation Director, an RN, an Assistant Recreation Director/Program Aid, a Service Client Coordinator and trained Program Aids. A hot lunch and 2 nutritious snacks are provided daily. The YWCA of Bethlehem Adult Day Services Center provides service for older adults Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm.
