Assists families with children who are homeless to help themselves to success
Description:
The Sixth Street Shelter, a 19-unit apartment site in Allentown, provides intensive programming for up to 60 days where staff works with families to set and achieve specific goals. Adult family members attend classes on parenting, personal finance, life skills and preparation for General Equivalency Development (GED) test; youngsters participate in preschool and a variety of youth activities.
