Volunteer Center of the Lehigh Valley

We can use your energy in several ways. Consider becoming a member of the AIDSNET Board in order to oversee our organization’s mission of Building Healthier Communities by Planning and Funding HIV/AIDS Care and Prevention Services. We provide funding in the six counties of Berks, Carbon, Lehigh, Monroe, Northampton and Schuylkill. We do not provide direct care. Our main goal is to help our funded agencies to provide quality services. Another way to help is to assist staff find grant opportunities to increase our ability to continue to provide distinctive services to people at risk of transmitting or becoming infected with HIV disease. There is often opportunities to provide short term technical assistance depending on the current need.

We could use a Board member with a financial background or a young Passionate individuals to provide a unique set of experiences. Knowledge of HIV is not a requirement, just a desire to help end this epidemic. This is not an exclusive list of requirements, just two different viewpoints that would benefit the Board's growth.
