Volunteers needed to transport residents in their wheelchairs or accompany them in their walkers from their rooms to physical therapy, the beauty shop or other in-house activities.
 Volunteers are assigned a list of names in an area that needs residents to be transported. The volunteer then needs to find the resident and bring them down for service. The residents may not be ready to be transported and the volunteer will have to come back for them later. After they are finished with their appointment the volunteer will return them to their room. This assignment usually take s a whole morning. Initial general orientation will be done by the Volunteer Director and the training for the assignment will be done by the department to which they are assigned.Volunteers must be healthy enough to push residents sometimes for the whole morning, must be courteous, respectful and kind toward all residents.
