Girls on the Run of Lehigh Valley

Spring 2009 New Balance Girls on the Run 5k

Event Date:  Sunday, May 31, 2009
Start Time:  3:00 PM
End Time: 5:00 PM

Location:
Lehigh Parkway, Park Drive, Allentown

Girls on the Run will end their Spring 2009 season with a 5k extravaganza, where more than 150 girls from our eleven teams (including our first Girls on Track team for middle-school girls!) will come together to complete the 5k event for which they have been training for 10 weeks! Each of the 3rd to 8th grade girls will be paired with an adult volunteer Running Buddy from the community.

This is a one time volunteer position. 100 Running Buddies are needed to Run/walk along side your paired girl, encouraging her to the finish line.  RB's have an opportunity when registering to request their speed. We will then make sure you are paired with a girl that you can keep up with.

Not a runner but still want to be involved?
We will need at least 75 general race volunteers for event set up, parking, food station, registration,
course monitors, cheer leaders, photography, etc.

This is an excellent opportunity for High School students (aged 16+)
who need to fill community service hours.
