Adopt A Family of Marin

Adopt A Family of Marin helps low-income families in crisis by offering financial and emotional support to prevent homelessness and provide family stability.

Description:
We offer rental assistance, security deposits, utility payments, auto repair payments and food vouchers. We work individually with each family to determine out what help is needed and we identify additional resources and referrals that may support a family on the path to greater stability. We work closely with many other organizations in Marin to provide emergency assistance and longer term help for families in financial distress.

Our central goal is always to prevent homelessness for low-income families with kids. We provide services with care and compassion, as we know that parents coming for help are often stressed and worried about the future of their families and providing for their children.

History:
Over the last 20 years, Adopt A Family of Marin has helped over 2,500 families by providing financial assistance for basic needs to prevent homelessness. We started out very small, and currently provide services to 400 families every year.
