Volunteer Opportunity Details:

This volunteer opportunity involves program management skills. You will receive requests for opera auditions and help set up the audition. You'll receive resumes by email from singers and help keep a file on the singers. You'll arrange the venue for the audition, contact the pianist and the judges about the date, and keep the check list to see that we have the forms for singers to fill out. You'll set up the times of each person's audition by email, and at the audition, make them feel welcome, collect their resumes and provide those to the Artistic Staff at the audition.

This volunteer must be very organized and respond promptly to emails or phone messages. Most important he or she must be able to write concise, accurate email announcements that will be sent to groups of people, with dates and times. Accuracy and being well organized and detail oriented are vital skills. We will train you in how to find the people or materials needed.
