History:
Commonwealth Land Trust was incorporated in 1985 and originally focused solely on preserving affordable housing in Boston's booming real estate market. After developing more than 350 affordable housing units, CLT recognized the need for a property management system organized around non-profit principles, so in 1998, CLT took its property management in-house. Since that time, CLT again expanded its mission to include preventing homelessness, and so CLT currently provides site-specific social services: ranging from HIV/AIDS counseling to addiction recovery counseling.
