We are in need of 10-12 female adult mentors to participate in a group mentoring program for middle school girls, once a week from 4:00-5:00. With the support and guidance from a Mentor Coordinator, the program will teach valuable life skills as well as encourage youth to identify and express their unique strengths.

We require a commitment of weekly, hour-long sessions, participation and encouragement of mentees to engage in prepared activities and focused discussion, and occasional trainings. We conduct CORI checks.

Directions:
 Public Transportation – “The T” Take the Orange Line to Malden Station; exit to Florence St. (City Hall will be across the street). Proceed to the left up the hill. At the traffic light, at the top of the hill, turn left onto Washington Street. It is the second building on the left. (Large white Victorian, YWCA sign in front yard). By Car From points North: Take 95 South, to Rte 1 South; to Rte 99 (Broadway) to Rte 60 West – turn right onto Rte 60 ( Eastern Ave). After approx. 1 ¾ miles, watch for two six story parking garages. Take next right at traffic light, (after 2 nd garage) onto Commercial Street. The Malden Orange Line Station is across the Street. Follow Commercial St. to traffic lights at the top of the Hill and take a left onto Washington St. The Malden YWCA, is the second house on the left (Large White Victorian Home) Parking is available in the back of the building. Use the side entrance near the handicap ramp. From Boston: Take Rte 93 North, to Rte 60 east to Malden (exit 32). See Rte 60-East directions - listed below From Points West: Mass Pike East; to Rte 128 North; to 93 South; to Rte 60 East to Malden (Exit 32) See Rte 60-East directions - listed below From Route 495: Take 93 South; to Route 60 East to Malden (Exit 32) See Rte 60-East directions - listed below From Route 60 Traveling East: Continue for approx. 3 ½ miles. Go under Railroad Bridge. (The Orange line Station will be directly overhead). At the next traffic light, take a left onto Commercial Street. Fleet Operations and Gov’t Center will be in view. Follow Commercial St. up the hill. At the traffic light at the top of the hill, take a left onto Washington. The Malden YWCA is the second building on the left (large white Victorian House). Parking is available in the back of the building. Use side entrance near the handicap ramp.
