Habitat For Humanity York County

Our mission is to build comfortable, affordable, decent homes and to assist low-income people in buying these homes. We hold interest-free mortgages on these homes until the mortgage is paid off.

Description:
With the exception of our Site Supervisor and part time office administrator, we are a complete volunteer organization. Labor for the house building and some materials are donated. This affiliate is governed by a Board of Directors, also all volunteers.

History:
This affiliate was founded by a small group of people headed by Miles Freeman of Ogunquit. Since its inception in 1985 we have built 23 homes and provided housing for approximately 100 people.
