Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Looking for a meaningful volunteer opportunity? The Center for Grieving Children is always looking for volunteers to help support children, teens, young adults, and families who are grieving the death or coping with a life threatening illness of a family member or friend. Call The Center at 775-5216. All volunteer help is greatly appreciated!

Facilitators work together in pairs with a small group of children, teens, young adults, or parents/guardians one night a week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday). Afternoon groups are held on Mondays and Thursday for our Multicultural Program which provides peer support for children form war-torn countries.

Facilitators go through an intense 30-hour training before being placed in a support group and are asked to make a one year commitment.
