WinterKids is the nonprofit organization committed to helping children develop healthy lifelong habits through fun, outdoor winter activity. At the Grand Opening of the "SnowConnect" Wilderness House on Payne Road in Scarborough, volunteers would be Ambassadors for WinterKids. The Grand Opening celebration will take place Friday, Saturday and Sunday, August 7, 8, & 9th from 9am-9pm. As a WinterKids Ambassador you will engage the public about our programs for kids, families, and schools, as well as about volunteer opportunities. For this event one must be outgoing, friendly, and knowledgeable about WinterKids or be willing to come to the WinterKids office for a short orientation and get familiar with WinterKids mission, materials, and opportunities. Even if you are a new volunteer, this is a great opportunity to gain hands-on training on interacting with the public.
